Why Philanthropic Advising?

What are the most important accomplishments you would like for your philanthropy in the next year?

Clarify mission or program areas?
Enhance the level of your engagement in your
philanthropy?
Find more effective grantees or achieve more
tangible community impact?
Launch an entirely new program area?
Leverage money for your causes with other
donors?
Evaluate the results of your past giving - so you
can change direction as needed?
Work more smoothly as a family; enjoy and
capitalize on the roles and differences between
the generations?
Resolve donor dilemmas:
How do you gain expertise?
Do you give anonymously?
How do you provide information to the
public?
How do you say no?

Miles can:

Connect you to and engage you with other
donors, experts, and non-profit leaders.
Help you get clarity on your mission/vision
Strengthen decision-making processes and/or
foundation governance structures.
Mentor family members to better manage
grantmaking or governance.
Clarify family roles - resulting in more
collaborative giving and positive experiences by all
family members.

conference calls.
